Mary Shannon is a dedicated arts and cultural professional with over a decade of experience supporting and driving community-focused projects across Tasmania. Mary’s background includes varied roles with organisations such as Junction Arts Festival, Festivale, Stompin Youth Dance Co., and Party in the Paddock. With a strong history in project administration and management, she excels in curating impactful experiences for diverse audiences, spanning both intimate community engagements and expansive, multi-layered events.
Mary’s career is grounded in a commitment to creating accessible, community-engaged projects that resonate with varied and diverse audiences. Projects she has been involved with often explore themes relevant to global and societal issues, drawing on frameworks that prioritise the perspectives of those served by the work.
As a musician, performer, and arts community advocate, she brings a balanced, collaborative approach to her roles, committed to growing alongside the artists, communities and organisations she supports.
