Cassandra (she/her) is a writer, arts worker and the marketing/communications officer for the Lutruwita Art Orchestra. She has been a stage manager, production assistant, organisation director and alternately shy then excitable public nuisance.  

Cassandra’ first foray into the arts came in 2015 when she received a writing residency through the Tasmanian Writers Centre (now TasWriters). In 2016 she took part in the SPACE program at Salamanca Art Centre, training in everything from lighting and sound to marketing and box office. From 2016 to 2018, she worked as a production assistant on the successful Tasmanian Requiem project that premiered at the Theatre Royal. 

She began working for TasWriters in 2017, first as a youth engagement coordinator and later as the Director. She held the position of director from 2020 to 2024. 
Through her varied incarnations, Cassandra’s passion has been empathetic connection between people. She believes that through our stories, our history and our music, people can build honest empathy for one another and find strength in the face of adversity and pain.
